Tyler + Rebecca | Downtown Greenville Engagement

Tyler and Rebecca are Greenville’s newest residents!

and she’s a photographer too, so go give her some love on the ‘gram!

They are from Pennsylvania but ventured down to Greenville when Tyler was accepted into a doctorate program here in Greenville.

I met Becca in July 2018 and instantly connected. The story is a funny one, so here it is!

One day while working at Athleta, Becca walked in looking for a pair of shorts. While she was in the fitting room trying clothes on, I kept asking her questions about the clothes. Eventually, I heard her ask, “Are you from Greenville?” I responded with my usual “Nope, I’m from Florida.”

Within ten minutes, our talkative self’s were knee deep in a conversation about how we were both photographers, how her fiancè Tyler was interested in a doctorate program at a school in Greenville, and how much they trusted the Lord to lead them wherever they were supposed to move to. We exchanged numbers and Instagram accounts, and I told Becca that if they needed any info on Greenville I was happy to share what I knew.

In October, Becca texted me that Tyler was accepted into the doctorate program in Greenville so it was official they were moving in December. It has been amazing to see this play out and welcome another photographer to this amazing city!

It was only natural to get these two in front of the camera and let me tell you, photographing another photographer is intimidating! especially one like Becca who is so so talented!

Tyler and Becca couples session was the perfect way to get my creative juices flowing. I was able to fully trust my capabilities and just have fun with them. We laughed in between locations and spent so much time talking about their love story.

Tyler and Becca have known each other since third grade! They grew up together and started dating when they were fifteen. Since then, they have built a relationship based on love, trust, and laughter. lots of laughter.

Friends, while Tyler was in basic training for the Army their only form of communication was writing letters.  For four whole months, they continuously wrote letters to each other. During the session, I asked them to remember what it was like to see each other’s faces after four months apart. and then this happened. be still my heart.

Just by being around them,  you can tell their love story is full of trust. They have stood hand in hand through lives toughest seasons. Becca is spontaneous and bubbly, and Tyler is strategic and stable. man, they’re so compatible.

I truly believe God places people in your life at the perfect time with a perfect purpose. This is the perfect testimony to that.

Thank you Tyler and Becca for being a dream to photograph! I can’t wait to see what Greenville has in store for you both!
